Testing Services
As an importer you might want to verify a product you are importing against a standard. BOBS has laboratories that offer testing in areas of micro-biology, chemistry, textiles, mechanical, civil engineering, and electrical engineering. Certification Services
Products can be certified against a Standard. This is a way for you to have assurance on the quality of the product. Where the product is imported BOBS can help with batch certification of the products to be imported as well as issuance of notes of recognition after verification of Certification Licenses from exporting countries. Regulation of Compulsory Standards
Some products in Botswana are regulated by law. This means that these products must conform to the compulsory standards by law. These standards affect some of the products in the market, and so are an assurance of their safety. If importing any of the regulated products there is need for you to ensure that it conforms.
