Regulation of Compulsory Standards
Some products in Botswana are regulated by law. This means that these products must conform to the compulsory standards by law. These standards affect some of the products in the market, and so are an assurance of their safety. If want to manufacture any of the regulated products there is need for you to ensure that they conform. Regulation of Measuring & Weighing Instruments for Trade
Any manufacturer who will be selling their products by using measuring and weighing instruments needs to ensure that they measure or weigh properly. By law these instruments must be annually verified by BOBS for correctness. There are many weighing and measuring instruments and not all are allowed for use in Botswana.
