Weldable structural steels
Description
“This specification covers requirements for 12 grades of structural steel available in the form of plates, sections and bars, and suitable for bolted, riveted or welded structures. NOTE 1 The standards referred to in this specification are listed in clause 2. NOTE 2 Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser and those that must or may be agreed upon between the manufacturer and the purchaser are listed in Annex A.
NOTE 3 The positions for taking test samples for tensile and bend tests are given in Annex B.
NOTE 4 The positions for taking test samples for impact resistance tests are given in Annex C.
NOTE 5 Guidance on the verification of the quality of weldable structural steels produced to this specification is given in Annex D.”
