01.Suggest New Standards
Anybody can submit a proposal for creation of a new standard and revision of an existing standard. For the proposal to be selected it must meet the key criteria of net benefit, well defined scope of work, stakeholder consultation and support, and availability of BOBS resources.
02.Comment on Draft Standards
Public comment of a draft standard is one of the stages in the standards development process. It ensures that the public has an opportunity to review the content and direction of the document prior to its completion. All public comments are considered by the relevant technical committee.
03.Become a Technical Committee Member
A committee consists of technical experts representing various interest groups or industries. Their work includes revising existing Botswana Standards and technical documents, assessing International Standards for adoption in Botswana Standards, or drafting new standards for emerging industries.
