This Botswana Standard covers the requirements for structural concrete work (plain and reinforced) for civil engineering and building construction. It covers the basic materials, the plant and formwork required, the quality, manufacture, and curing of concrete, tolerances in workmanship, tests and acceptance criteria, and the methods by which the finished structure is to be measured for the purpose of payment. This Botswana Standard does not cover specialized aspects of structural concrete work, post and prestressed work and piles, caissons, cylinders, harbour and marine works.
