Plastics safety glazing materials for motor vehicles — Specification
Description
“1.1 This Botswana Standard covers requirements for plastics safety glazing materials for use on Category M, N and O motor vehicles, excluding the windscreens of Category M or N motor vehicles. 1.2 This Botswana Standard does not cover: a)miscellaneous items such as instrument dial windows, rear-view mirrors or light covers, within or attachedto a motor vehicle, that may be construed as glazing materials; b)bullet-resistant glazing materials;
c)methods of mounting glazing materials; and d)plastics materials used to bond together glass panels to form laminated safety glass or any similarlaminates of glass. NOTE1 Guidance on the verification of the quality of plastics safety glazing materials is given in Annex A. NOTE2 The basic characteristics of plastics safety glazing materials are given in Annex B.”
