Retro-reflective and fluorescent warning signs for road vehicles Part 2: Abnormal load vehicle signs ̶ Specification
Description
This part of the specification covers requirements for abnormal load signs that are retro-reflective and fluorescent, and that are intended for use on motor vehicles operating on public roads. NOTE 1 The signs covered by this part of the specification may be used to give advance warning to approaching traffic1 of a vehicle that itself constitutes a load that is in excess of normal or is carrying a load that is in excess of normal and a vehicle that is acting as an escort to such a vehicle or load (see Figure 4).
NOTE 2 Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser are listed in Annex A.
NOTE 3 Suggested coatings for mild steel surfaces are given in Annex B.
