Description
“This standard describes colours for use in various industries, mainly for colour identification and coding. The selected colours are linked to the Natural Colour System (NCS). The standard covers the Natural Colour System that describes colour perceptions that belong to the surface of a material, provided the surface is not perceived to be metallic or fluorescent.It excludes colours that are perceived to belong to translucent or luminescent objects (so-called volume colours and luminous colours), and also excludes other visual properties of the surface layer, such as gloss and texture. An NCS notation does not describe the physical or chemical properties of an object.”
