Description
This Botswana standard specifies requirements including compositional requirements for the production of reformed processed meat products intended for human consumption or for further processing into ready-to-eat, heat-and-serve items as well as high end deli items. Reformed meat products covered by this standard shall have individual meat pieces that are not smaller than 13 mm, with or without the addition of finely Reformed meat and other permitted ingredients of which the soluble proteins bind the meat pieces and upon cutting, has the typical appearance of a meat muscle. The scope also includes any coated processed meat products.
