This standard specifies requirements for non-alcohol based hand sanitizer (NABHS) based on plant/natural products or natural antimicrobial agents (such as concentrated oils from plants known for antimicrobial and aromatic properties used only for personal hand hygiene). The standard does not cover alcohol-based hand sanitizers (ABHS) nor non-alcohol based hand sanitizer (NABHS) not based on organics.
